A three phase billboard ad campaign in New York's Times Square announced the return of Dallas in 2012. Later that year, another billboard was in place to herald the start of the second season.
Here are views of Times Square and phase one of the first billboard. Steam came out around the mystery shower scene when the billboard first went up.
Phase two of the first billboard was unveiled on April 2, 2012, the 34th anniversary of Dallas. The curtain was gone, revealing the cast in a shower room, poking fun of the infamous "Bobby in Pam's shower" scene that ended the "Dream Season" of the original Dallas.
A third billboard, in a different location, as well as ads on cabs, rounded out TNT's Dallas presense in New York. Larry Hagman was very happy to see the billboard, and posed in front of it.
Another billboard announces the start of the second season of Dallas and, sadly, a TV Guide memorializing Larry Hagman peeks out from a magazine stand.
